Three things give 9 Masks of Fire its character: Mask awards, the Wild and the Free Spins wheel. Each one follows its own rule. Masks pay from anywhere on the reels, the Wild has two clear exceptions, and Free Spins start from a set symbol pattern on reels two, three and four.

Mask awards: a total-bet rule of their own#
| Qualifying Masks | Award |
|---|---|
| 3 | 1× total bet |
| 4 | 5× total bet |
| 5 | 15× total bet |
| 6 | 40× total bet |
| 7 | 100× total bet |
| 8 | 500× total bet |
| 9 | 2,000× total bet |
Mask awards, Free Spin symbol payouts and ordinary line payouts are added together where they apply, so a Mask result is never a replacement for a payline result. The table belongs to the original game’s rule document; another operator configuration or a separately named 9 Masks product can work differently.
What the Wild does#
When you look at the reels, decide first whether you are seeing a regular line, a Mask count or the Free Spins trigger. For the base-game sequence and the line calculation, open How to play.
| Symbol or outcome | How to read it |
|---|---|
| Regular matching symbols | Part of the left-to-right adjacent line evaluation |
| Wild | Substitutes, except for Masks and Free Spin symbols |
| Mask | Uses the anywhere-on-reels total-bet award rule |
| Free Spin symbol | Takes part in the feature trigger on specific reels |
The Free Spins wheel and its multiplier#
In the help the multiplier covers line wins and Free Spin symbol wins, while Mask wins are settled under their own rule, so two wins in the same round can be calculated differently.
If the same three Free Spin symbols land again on reels two, three and four during the feature, the game retriggers: it adds the number of spins first awarded and keeps the multiplier you already have. No new multiplier is selected for a retrigger.

Features and randomness#
Knowing the trigger makes the game easier to follow, not predictable: outcomes stay random and no stake pattern summons a Mask award or a Free Spins round. Set your own spending and time boundary, keep your stake steady and play for the entertainment.
Next step: open How to play for the base-game sequence, then head to App and play the current session.
